"Complete Rest" is all about letting your body and mind go at your own pace here at the temple.

• You can book any number of nights starting from one. For stays of 7 nights or more,
please reach out to us on WhatsApp.

• Rooms are shared, so you'll be staying with other participants.

• Before making a reservation, please make sure to check the [Directions] section on this page.

it will send you to the wrong location.

• When booking, please enter each participant's contact information separately.
We need this for announcements and in case of emergencies.

• If you're paying the participation fee in cash on site, we can't make change,
so please have the exact amount ready.

• The schedule may change depending on the weather or temple circumstances.

• Please bring a towel, a water bottle or bottled water, toiletries, a pen, socks, and any emergency medication you might need — things like Tylenol, digestive medicine, cold medicine, and so on.

• Please wear sneakers when you come. The temple is up in the mountains,
so there are a lot of hills, stairs, and slopes.

• We provide a temple stay vest and pants, but please bring your own t-shirt and jacket.

• A hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, and toothpaste are all provided.

• If you have heavy or bulky luggage, you can use the "ZimCarry" storage service at Dongdaegu Station (KTX) or Daegu Airport. https://zimcarry.net

• If the Zimcarry luggage storage service is unavailable, you will need to take a taxi or Uber.
You cannot take large suitcases onto the bus because the driver will refuse to allow them on board.

• If you decide to take a taxi or Uber, call me as soon as you get in,
before you tell the driver where you’re headed. Then I’ll explain to the driver how to get to Templestay.

• Changing Your Reservation: If you wish to change your reservation date,
please contact us first instead of canceling your reservation.

• Please follow basic etiquette while you're in the temple.

• Drinking and smoking are strictly prohibited.

• Please keep your voice down and avoid making loud noise. 

• If you're driving here, please make sure to enter your license plate number in the Participant Info section when you book. Even if you're just stopping by briefly, your vehicle still needs to be registered.
We handle the vehicle registration by personally visiting the temple administration office, which is located over the mountain ridge from us, so we need to do it in advance. Same-day registration is not possible. Please make sure to enter your plate number ahead of time.
Again, we cannot register your vehicle on the day of the program.

• If your vehicle is not registered, you will need to pay the parking fee by card at the automated payment machine when you leave.
(Base rate: 4,000 won for 4 hours / Additional: 1,000 won per hour) Cash payment is not accepted.

• Please enter your full license plate number, not just the digits. For example: 4885 (✕) → 49허4885 (○)

• From the "Dongdaegu Station Underground 2" bus stop, it takes about 40 to 45 minutes to get to the "Donghwasa Temple" stop. Don't get off at "Donghwagyo" — ride one more stop past that. 

• The bus fare is 1,950 KRW one way. Cash is not accepted — only transportation cards. In Korea,
we use a transportation card called a "T-money card." You can buy it at convenience stores. It works like a prepaid card — you put money on it and use it for buses and subways. You can recharge (add money to) the card at convenience stores or subway stations.

 

• From “Donghwasa Temple” bus stop, it takes about 25 minutes to walk to the Templestay accommodation.
