At Golgulsa Temple, you are able to experience unique activities in natural surroundings of beautiful Mt. Hamwol-san. Representative activity is Seonmudo. It is a traditional Korean meditative martial art. It consists of five parts; Seon Meditation, Seon Yoga, Seon Qigong, Seon gymnastics, and Seon Martial Arts. It is a way of Moving Meditation, which serves to develop mindfulness through motions. Also you are able to enjoy various programs such as Chanting services, 108 Prostrations, Sitting Meditation and Walking Meditation, Admiring Seonmudo demonstration. (Except Mon. & Tue.) What to bring?

▶Long sleeve or short sleeve shirt (depending on the season), comfortable walking shoes, socks, towel, toiletries, water bottle, hair dryer (option), sun cap We provide Templestay uniform (Seonmudo pants and vest) for Seonmudo, pillow cover and sheet for mattress)

Regulation

▶ - keep the Temple’s rules during templestay. -No smoking, No alcohol. -Keeping noble silence. -Be punctual & 5 minutes before to all activities. -Do not bring foods from outside of the temple. -Do not wander into off-limits areas & other's room. -Not allow go outside of the tample with other participants during staying ▶ - Basically, we seperate males and females of using accommodation. -Each room is equipped with shower,rest room,air conditioner, and refrigerator.

Taking Time: approx. 4 hrs 30mins Cost: approx 30,000 won

*From Busan/Daegu/Ulsan/Pohang: Inter-City Bus Terminal to Gyeongju Inter-City Bus Terminal
Taking Time: 1-2 hrs Cost: 5,000 ~ 10,000 won

* From Gyeongju Express Bus Terminal to the temple

Bus No: 100 / 100-1 / 150 (Taking 50 mins)
Get off “Andong/Girimsa/Golgusa (안동/기림사/골굴사).” There is a T-junction. You cross the road and go straight along with the street about 10~15 mins on foot.

* From Busan: Busan Station to Singyeongju Station

Bus No: 50, 51, 60, 70 & 700. Get off at the "Express Bus Terminal" & don't cross the road.
