Program Information

Program Information

Operating Period [2022-04-15 ~ 2028-02-29]

Tripitaka Koreana Pilgrimage offers a hands-on opportunity
to experience the daily life and practice of a Buddhist temple,
introducing Korean Buddhist culture in an accessible way.

You can take part in activities such as temple tours, Yebul
(Buddhist ceremonies), making 108 prayer beads, and traditional
woodblock printing, gaining a closer understanding of monastic life
beyond simple observation.

In the quiet atmosphere of the temple, you can step away from daily routines,
reflect on yourself, and enjoy a brief moment of personal reflection
in the Dharma hall before morning Yebul.

Guided by the Buddha’s teaching,
“Be a light unto yourself” (Mahāparinibbāna Sutta, DN 16),
this program encourages inward reflection and direct experience
as a path to insight.
