The International Seon Center is a modern style of Buddhist Temple in Seoul city as well as Seon (Zen) meditation and Buddhist propagation training center. The center operate a residential temple stay and daily templestay program to offer direct experience of Korean Buddhist culture for both Koreans and international visitors. The overall aim of the center is to promote awareness of the inherent value of Korean Buddhism and its practices to the global community. The center contains a templestay facility, a large prayer hall, and a culture and education center, and provides temple-stay programs, Seon lectures, tea ceremonies, and many other programs and activities which aim to provide a living experience of traditional Korean Buddhist culture. To cater for the needs of international visitors, Korean to English interpretation is provided throughout many of the centers activities. The center is continuously developing a residential temple stay and daily templestay program to offer direct experience of Korean Buddhist culture for both Koreans and international visitors. In order to further promote the practice of Seon meditation throughout the world, the center holds academic seminars, exchanges ideas with different religions, facilitates international study exchanges, and regularly holds forums on Buddhist studies. HOW TO GET TO THE TEMPLE 1. By train from the Airport You can take the All Stop Train from Incheon Airport, Not Express train. -When you get to Kimpo airport, you can transfer to line No.5 to Omokgyo station. -Please go out through exit No.8 when you get to Omokgyo station. 2. From Subway Station (Omokgyo station. line 5) It takes about 8-10 minutes to get International Seon Center from Omokgyo Station. (approximately 650m) -Go straight two blocks down after you come out from Omokgyo Station Exit 8. -Walk straight to the first intersection. (Citi bank on the left corner) -Turn left on the intersection -Across the crosswalk in front of Homeplus Express and walk straight until Mokdong middle school on your left. -You will see the 9 story international Seon Center(ISC) located on the opposite side of the school. -Across the last crosswalk and enter the lobby. Find Templestay manager at the front desk. 3. From "Airport Limousine" Bus Stop (Incheon International Airport) It takes an hour to get the temple. -Please ride 6018 Airport Limousine from Incheon International Airport. -You can ride this limousine at gate 6 on arrival floor(1F) of Terminal 1 and at gate 23-28 on B1F of Terminal 2. -Before you ride, you have to buy the ticket. Ticket booth is on gate. Or you can buy and top up T-Money card at the convinience store. (Fare will KRW 15,000 with cash / KRW 13,000 with T-Money card) 4. From Gimpo International Airport(By Subway) It takes 40 minutes to get here - Please go to the Gimpo International Airport Station (Line 5) - Take Seoul Subway Line 5 (Purple Line) towards Hanam Geomdansan or Macheon. - Travel 7 stops and get off at Omokgyo Station - Exit through Exit 8 and walk about 10 minutes to the International Seon Center. 5. From Gimpo International Airport(By Bus) It takes 1 hour to get here - From Gimpo Airport Bus Stop, Take Bus 6629 (towards Mokdong Station). - Get off at Omokgyo Station - Walk about 10 minutes to the International Seon Center.
